Ackkkkkkkkkkk

I have tried and tried and tried and tried. I cannot get blogger to use an image for a background. I've viewed sources for other blogger templates and copied what they've done and I can't get it to work.

Help.... some one.... anyone.... please?

Here is what I've been doing. In the body section of the template where it says background, I type the following

url("the place where the image is") repeat;

From looking at the source for other blogs, this looks like what I'm supposed to do. Can anyone help? I want a fresh look.
