Got some motivation

A few motivations today:

  • My mother sent one of my WIPs to her group and I heard some great things back from the ladies.

  • I made a goal list for October. (made a list to the right so I have to look at it everytime I stop here!)

I had a little bit of an off day with my Lupus and spent most of the day in bed, but I'm about to watch my Sunday night shows and stitch.

I'll update my pictures tomorrow since I got some better ones taken and I hope to put up new pictures for every 10 hours I complete on a project.

I've got pictures

YEAH!!! I've figured out how to link to pictures. See, over there to the right, WIP's?

I took the pictures with my PDA, so they aren't that good, but it's a start. I also want to find a place to make an album so that all of them can stay grouped together. Any suggestions?

I've also heard that I can host the pictures on my computer (I have Windows Professional and could get a hold of server if I need to). Something about ftp files or something like that. So if anyone out there has a quick answer that is easy to follow. If not I'll start searching the web.
I might just have to start my own webpage too.

I'm still working on a plan for my rotation. I think I've decided that I'd like to focus on the Marjolie Bastin 4 Seasons. Sunday's are going to be put aside for the super secret Christmas present for my mother (sorry can't post until it's gifted, she has the information for my blog). The other days are all for stitching.

Actually getting somewhere

I've made my list, I've checked it twice. I've filed, organized, and sort of prioritized. My list of WIP's of course! I posted it at one of my new favorite websites Rotation Stitchers and now I'm just waiting for some responses.

I've also taken pictures of my WIPs and as soon as I figure out how to use this darn html, I hope to get some links posted.

I think I'm becoming obsessed with organizing! Anyway, below is my list and I hope to get some goals and a rotation going to I can actually finish something here.

Who, what, when, where, why.

I'm a 31 year old recent transplant to Southern California. (Can I still say recent if I've been here a year and a half?) I recently lost my job because the company folded AND moved my mother cross country to live with me. So needless to say, I've had a bit of time on my hands the last few weeks.

I've been busy looking for a job and restless from being home. Too much free time syndrome. I had the bright idea that I would organize all of my various craft and sewing projects. WHAT WAS I THINKING!?!?!?!?! More projects started than finished, more floss and fabric than I would ever know what to do with, more piles and boxes and bags of things that would be neat to learn.

I began the great web-search and found blog upon blog and website after website of fellow cross stitchers, quilters, crocheters and just plain old project junkies just like me! So that brings me to here. I figured if all these blogs and websites, fellowship of project procrastinators, tricks and tips helped motivate everyone else, why not me?

I'm off to splash my blog here and there, meet some people and hopefully finish a project or two.

Here We GO!

Here it is, my very own blog. I'm not sure that I'll be posting much, but I figure I'll give it a try for a while.

I'm off to look around and figure out what the heck I'm doing!
